Employer Sponsored Visas · Western Australia

Sponsoring skilled workers for the Pilbara

We are based in Karratha and work with mining, resources and regional employers across WA — and with the skilled workers they want to bring on board.

We are a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 2619548). We give advice and prepare and lodge applications on your behalf. We do not issue visas — every visa decision is made by the Department of Home Affairs.

Visa options

The main employer sponsored visas

Subclass 482

Skills in Demand visa

Temporary visa for a sponsored skilled worker. It replaced the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa in December 2024 and includes Specialist Skills, Core Skills and Labour Agreement streams.

Subclass 186

Employer Nomination Scheme

Permanent residence through your employer — either directly, or after time on a temporary sponsored visa with the same employer.

Subclass 494

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional

Provisional visa for regional employers. Karratha and the Pilbara are regional areas, and this visa can lead to permanent residence.

Agreements

Labour & regional agreements

Where a standard visa does not fit, a labour agreement or a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA), where one is available, may be an option.

Eligible occupations, salary levels and requirements are set by the Australian Government and change regularly. We check the current rules for your case before anything is lodged.

Our process

How we help

Consultation

We look at the business, the role and the worker’s skills and experience.

Honest assessment

We explain which visa and sponsorship path may fit, the costs and the risks.

Sponsorship & nomination

We prepare the sponsorship and nomination for the employer, including labour market testing evidence.

Visa application

We prepare and lodge the worker’s application and handle the Department’s requests until a decision.

Common questions

Can you guarantee the visa will be granted?

No. Nobody can. We give advice and prepare the sponsorship, nomination and visa applications carefully, but decisions are made by the Department of Home Affairs.

Do I need a job offer first?

Yes. These visas all depend on an Australian employer sponsoring or nominating you for a genuine position.

Can my family come with me?

In most cases your partner and dependent children can be included in the application.

Can a sponsored visa lead to permanent residence?

Often, yes — through the 186 visa, or from the 494 to a permanent regional visa. We plan this with you from the start.

We are a small business. Can we sponsor?

Businesses of many sizes can apply to become sponsors. We assess your business and the role first so you know where you stand before paying any government fees.
